Personal Profile

My name is Laurel Stone, and I am a 16 year old artist located in Greenville, South Carolina. I currently attend the Fine Arts Center for Visual Arts, and will start at South Carolina Governor's School for Arts and Humanities this coming fall. I started as an artist with a love for 2-D work, and have since evolved into ceramic and fiber work. My work centers around the teenage psyche, and ancient mythology and stories. I enjoy recreating and imagining the human body as affected by today's modern age. Lots of my work features snippets of human anatomy, hence my website's logo being hands. In my free time, I enjoy writing, film, and of course, art. My goal is to make art for those who cannot speak up for themselves. Peruse my work, and contact me with any questions.
